The first stretch, downhill, proceeds following what remains of an old cart track that leads to the Riu S'Isca 'and Calamixi stream river bed, surrounded by a thick woods.
Then follow the cart track until reaches a mule track that comes out of the woods on the left side of the river, that offers spectacular views of the valley, and then descends to the river at the old sheepfold of Dispensa Landiri (250 m s.l.m.).
Ford the creek (great caution is recommended after heavy rains) and reach a road that after about 600 m crosses the D 212 path and in few kilometers bring to Canale di is Canargius.
Here a dilapidated bridge leads into a large scrub gully, then climbing steeply on the left bank of the river, until it intersects an old mule track buikd by charcoal burners.
Going along it towards the northwest, the trail reaches S'arcu 'e S'Arrideli (431 m s.l.s.) from which start a comfortable and very panoramic road that leads to the ruins of Porcileddu's pantry (210 m s.l.m.).
From here to the structure of Medau Monte Nieddu (263 m asl) the path develops along on a wide dirt road located in the valley floor.
