This route begins in the town of Sedilo and crosses numerous nuragic sites, but is also of particular importance from a landscape point of view. Indeed, as it winds close by Lake Omodeo, it offers numerous vantage points with splendid views. In the first stretch of the trail, we suggest a brief stop at the Archaeological Park of Iloi, which includes monuments from different prehistoric eras.
As soon as they arrive here, you’ll be struck by the majestic nuraghe complex and, in the immediate vicinity, the many nuragic huts. A few dozen metres away you can admire the remains of two giants' tombs, or nuragic tombs, built with huge basalt blocks. Proceeding along the trail in the direction of the lake, after a few hundred metres you come to the Domus de Janas of Ispilluncas which, with its 34 mapped chambers, represents one of the largest underground necropolises in Sardinia.
