The trail begins in the town center of Sedilo and is characterized by the presence of numerous Nuragic sites, but it is also of particular importance from a landscape point of view.
In the heart of the Island, on the Abbasanta plateau, overlooking the evocative scenery of Lake Omodeo, stands the millenary village of Sedilo. An agro-pastoral center of the Guilcer, populated by over two thousand inhabitants and characterized by ancient stone houses, it is located at the center of reliefs covered by holm oaks, oaks, cork oaks and Mediterranean scrub, with itineraries to be covered on foot, by bike or on horseback. Near Omodeo (to be explored by canoe) poplars and willows thrive and the archaeological park of Iloi overlooks.
Inside, a trilobed nuraghe, against which leans a trapezoidal-shaped structure, a village, and two Giant's Tombs (from the Middle-Late Bronze Age), one with an apsidal burial chamber, a covered corridor, and an exedra with a seat bench. The Puntanarcu spring also dates back to the Bronze Age. The territory was inhabited even earlier, as evidenced by the Ispiluncas necropolis, composed of 33 domus de Janas (ten of which can be visited), divided into two groups 200 meters apart. Some burials are multi-cellular: tomb II is articulated in 13 rooms. Cippi, urns, and a section of paved road date back to the Roman era. While the cult of Emperor Saint Constantine, which distinguishes the town, is Byzantine. Sacred and profane merge in the archaic rite of s'Ardia, a spectacular horse race for Santu Antine, which recalls the battle of Ponte Milvio (312 AD).
