Betilli Station is a railway stop located in the municipality of Esterzili, along the Mandas-Arbatax line, used exclusively for the Trenino Verde tourist services.
It represents the arrival point of trail C 551, which starts from Esterzili.
It is nestled in the Bettili forest, located in the Barbagia di Seulo, southwest of the town of Esterzili, downstream from a limestone plateau at the base of which the Nuluttu river flows. It is an ancient forest whose flora is characterized by the presence of holm oaks, cork oaks, downy oaks, and Mediterranean scrub shrubs such as mastic, juniper, strawberry tree, wild olive, viburnum, and heather. During spring, you can admire beautiful blooms of peonies, cyclamen, and wild orchids. As for the fauna, it is possible to spot the weasel, marten, fox, wild boar, red woodpecker, and numerous diurnal and nocturnal birds of prey.
