Cucchinadorza Lake

Lake Cucchinadorza is a small artificial reservoir located in the Barbagia of Ollollai, in the valley between the "Su Ballu" and "Pizzuri" mountains. It is formed by the damming of the Taloro river coming from the nearby Lake Gusana. It has an elongated shape arranged in a N-S direction, is about 2.5 kilometers long and on average 500 meters wide.

The presence of an ENEL power plant, which uses the lake's water to cool the turbines, has the effect of warming the water, resulting in an increase in the lake's biological activity and therefore the presence of fish. The area of greatest interest for spin fishing is precisely the one near the power plant, an area populated by a large quantity of black bass. Carp, including large ones, are present throughout the lake.
