The route crosses places of naturalistic, anthropological and historical interest. At Leustra, the starting point of the itinerary, you can observe the remains of a nuragic village, where traces of the huts are still visible today.
Along the way there are also occasional sheepfolds and the service centre of the State-owned Forest of Alase. Much of the route is scenic. The itinerary, along with other sections that make up the Alase trail, forms a loop route. The trail is included in the Site of Community Interest of the Gennargentu Mountains.
