Roia is Codis (Gutturu Pala) - Pilocca picnic area - D-335
The pathway
Roadbook
You set off following the stony riverbed of the Rio Maccioni, leaving behind the deep gully of Gutturu Pala. The old mining track that used to run along the bottom of the valley is now ravaged by floods in many parts: the trail therefore skirts along the sides, sometimes passing by the remains of works used by charcoal makers to cut wood.
After a predominantly flat stretch, the road begins to climb slightly after the cut-off for Bega Sa Menta, from which direction arrives trail 336B. The thick vegetation only lets you guess the presence of the majestic sheer cliff faces above, while all around you are clear signs of the mining history of this region.
