The point of interest
How to get here
Tonara town is dominated by its mountain and its beautiful woods, once mainly made up of chestnut groves interspersed with small vegetable gardens. The route starts directly from the town center, parking next to the Town Hall and heading towards the birthplace of the Poet Peppino Mereu, the pride of Tonara and the Island. From here, you walk along Via XX Settembre, Via Angioy and then Via Galusé which leads to the homonymous spring, sung about by the local poet. You are at the extreme edge of the village and from the spring begins a paved road that winds through the vegetable gardens, shaded by chestnut trees and orchards.
