The D-221 route starts at the junction of the old mining road at km 49.1 of the SS 293 highway (231 meters above sea level). You follow the road, which gains altitude with a couple of hairpin bends, for about 1.2 km; then, you take the track of an old cart road, which joins the sn of the road (320 meters above sea level), and you follow it in a SE direction, until you ford the Riu Fluminiadamu stream (340 meters above sea level, 0.45 hours).
How to get there
On the SS 293 road, at kilometer 49.1 (231 meters above sea level), take a former mining road on the left (if proceeding south towards Nuxis and Santadi) which, with a couple of hairpin bends, gains altitude and, after about 2 km, reaches Medau Pilisi (397 meters above sea level), and after another 3 km approximately, Arcu de Sa Mossa.
From all these points, the route can be started on foot, as they are also reachable by car.
