The forest areas in the territory of the municipality of Neoneli were acquired for management by the Regional Forestry Inspectorate in 1975, with a temporary occupation contract until 1995, when the State Forestry Company acquired them under a thirty-year concession. In the Barigadu forest complex, temporary occupation contracts still exist only in the Teti forest site (both for privately owned land and for land owned by the Municipality), where in 1953 a project for the arrangement of the Taloro Mountain Basin was approved by the Cassa per il Mezzogiorno, which provided for the temporary occupation of land and the consequent attribution of the hydrogeological constraint.
In the territory of the municipalities of Sedilo, Sorradile, Austis and Nughedu Santa Vittoria, the managed forest areas were acquired under a thirty-year concession at the end of the nineties.
