The pathway

The G 505 trail is very interesting from a landscape and naturalistic point of view. In fact it starts at the Sa Filu de Ischefiadorza spring from where it reaches Punta Masiennera lookout from which it is possible to enjoy a 360 degree panorama of the surrounding regions.

The trail then continues downhill along an old forest track to reach the anthills of the Rufa and Lugubris ants, bred in an experimental project of biological control against cork oak defoliators.

Useful informations

The trail has a total length of approximately 5.3 km which can be walked in 1 hour and 25 minutes (1 hour and 35 minutes in reverse).

Roadbook

The G 505 trail starts at the Su filu de Ischerfiadorza fountain. After about 250 meters turn north heading towards Punta Masiennera at an altitude of 1156 metres; from here enjoy a splendid and wide panorama of the Sardinian mountains.
