The trail starts from Pantaleo (223 m above sea level), and follows an easy path in the middle of the woods that quickly leads to a spring near the ruins of the church of Pantaleo.
From here it continues along a dirt road that leads to Is Cannoneris, a steep climb; reached a wide hairpin bend (524 m s.l.s.), leave the trail and enter a forest of oaks and strawberry trees and reach a path that follows an old mule track. It goes up, on a shoulder called Ischina on Mori is Eguas. From the saddle, located at the top of the climb (607 m s.l.s.), the trail descends on mule track, towards the Riu de S'Arremus, where it crosses the D 215 trail; forded the stream it continues in a forest of high scrub frequented by wild boars and then reaches S'Arcu 'e Bidda Beccia (658 m a.s.l.) pass. The mule track then detaches from the pass on a steep climb, comes out of the woods allowing a very wide panorama towards the area of Pantaleo and of the rest of the Sulcis.
Arrived at s'Arcu de S'Arena (elevation 823 mt), the trail intersects the D 207 and D210 trails, goes down in the dense forest through a mule track, then continues in a bush, fords the Riu Acqua Callenti stream, goes back into the woods, and finally reaches the dirt road that leads Campu de Riu Alinu.
The trail then follows a stretch of forest tracks, immersed in the woods, where crosses the D 212 trail, goes uphill, and finally reaches a wide mule track that offers spectacular views of the area of Calamixi (826 m above sea level). The mule track easily reaches Is Cannoneris, the last destination of the trail, along the last stretch in the woods, where at the end of winter all the trees bear the marks of the horns of the deer.
