The point of interest
How to get here
From the Is Cannoneris forest station (717 m above sea level), follow the forest track for a long stretch as it develops towards Pantaleo. Leave it after about 1.8 km for an old cart track on the right, closed by a barrier. This track, with wide hairpin bends under the open woodland, allows you to reach the valley floor in the Antioglu Millanu area.
Another forest track, which then becomes a descending cart track, leads us to a wide watershed near Medau de Is Mandaresus, on which a spectacular firebreak has been built. Follow this entirely, with wide panoramic views, until you identify a trail on the left. Following an old path, this leads in a steep descent to the riverbed of the Riu Su Paganu at a wide confluence.
Ford the river and reach a mid-slope forest track, continuing towards the Is Canargius canal, always on the track, until you reach an abandoned mine. Leave it on the right and take, after a short climb, a panoramic cart track that served as a connection to the various mining sites in the mountain.
The cart track continues high above the valley floor, always in excellent condition, crossing a ridge near S’Arcu de Su Lillu. From here, a descending path with wide hairpin bends finally leads to a dirt road near Sa Galanza.
Following it along the direction of the underlying watercourse, you arrive at an abandoned mine.
