The trail runs south east of the village, in the direction of the Caboni spring. It passes through an area that in 2007 was affected by a devastating wildfire which caused the deaths of numerous animals and destroyed whole swathes of land.
Until the early 1980s, the job of collecting water was entrusted to children who, with the help of animals, would go down the path to the spring, returning laden with water. Daily water collection was an important moment in the social life of the community and helped to cement long-lasting friendships among the children.
