Aymerich Parc - Punta Carradore (T-261)

The trail crosses areas of special landscape and cultural interest. The area is characterised by the medieval castle of the Aymerich (set in the middle of the lovely park of the same name), as well as the Menhir Museum and the natural springs. Within the urban park you can admire an extraordinary specimen of a Cedar of Lebanon and places linked to the life of Saint Ignatius of Laconi, who lived in the second half of the 18th century.

Along the route there are several panoramic viewpoints that offer fine views over the whole village of Laconi and the Giara plateau. The latter is renowned for its droves of wild Giara horses, unusual because they are rather small, mainly black and with almond-shaped eyes.  The route is easy to reach from any of the numerous municipal roads that criss-cross the surrounding area.
