The route of trail T-114 follows an old cart track (near the Montarbu State Forest Service Centre), in the direction of the Taccu Mannu forest at Ussassai passing by the old San Girolamo railway station, which is located 1.4 km from the start. This first stretch is mainly downhill.
From the station, you proceed for another 1.4 km toward the Niala forest and Taccu Mannu, where you can visit the magnificent holm oak wood and take a break at one of the picnic areas in Niala.
From here the path climbs up, steadily gaining height with significant gradients for a further 3 km until you arrive at an altitude of 960m right next to Pizzu Montarbu.
From here, the arrival point of the trail, you can return to Niala also via the trickier route of the 2 km-long variant of T-114A (for expert hikers).
