Sadali (Sàdili in Sardinian) is an Italian municipality with 928 inhabitants in the province of Cagliari, in the historical region of Barbagia di Seulo. The municipality is part of the XIII Mountain Community Sarcidano-Barbagia di Seulo.
The territory of Sadali covers an area of 4,988 hectares, bordering to the north with the municipality of Seulo, to the west with Villanovatulo, to the east with Seui and to the south with Esterzili and Nurri. The central core of the territory consists of a vast dolomite-carbonate plateau where intense karstification is present. The plateau has an average altitude of about 750-800 meters above sea level, a natural reservoir of aquifers that feed numerous springs and the beautiful waterfalls of the area. Today the plateau has a barren and vegetation-poor appearance except for some stretches where there are the remains of an ancient secular forest that once covered the entire "tacchi" and which today is present only along the valleys that surround it. The tree species that make up the forests are mainly holm oaks, cork oaks, downy oaks and sporadic specimens of yew, holly and maple, while the undergrowth consists of juniper, strawberry tree, lentisk, phillyrea, heather, rosemary, cistus which together constitute the typical Mediterranean scrub. In addition to the numerous springs and streams, the territory of Sadali is rich in caves that during the spring and summer are a destination for numerous groups of tourists. The Flumendosa constitutes one of the salient aspects of the Sadalese landscape, the boundary between Barbagia and Sarcidano and a source of invaluable wealth for Sardinia, always poor in water and afflicted for years by the terrible scourge of drought. Furthermore, in the territory there are numerous archaeological testimonies of the culture of the Upper Neolithic from the Nuragic civilization up to the testimonies of the Punic and Roman civilizations.
