On the granite plateau of Selene, a thousand meters above sea level, in the deepest Ogliastra, the land of longevity, amidst a forest of dense holm oaks, mixed with chestnut trees, oaks, poplars and Mediterranean scrub, you will discover an evocative testimony of the Nuragic civilization. The archaeological complex, dating back to an age between the Middle and Late Bronze Age, is located about six kilometers from the town center of Lanusei, in a splendid environmental setting to be visited on foot or by bike along evocative paths. The site consists of the Gennacili nuraghe, surrounded by a cluster of about 200 huts and defensive walls, two giant's tombs, about half a kilometer from the residential agglomeration, and two sacred springs.
