The B-182 trail starts from the entrance of the Silana Forestry Presidium (910 meters above sea level), in the locality of Genna 'e Peta, and develops along a slightly descending forest track (2.4 km). Crossing the track on the left, you can admire a splendid landscape towards P'ta Cuccutos and the Gorropu Gorge in the distance. You reach "Sa Portisca" (823 meters above sea level) where it is possible to visit the Sardinian deer wildlife oasis and the Cuile sa Portisca.
This consists of the shepherd's hut (su barraccu) built of limestone and juniper beams, the goat pen (sa corte), the pig pen (sa cumbula) and a small plot of land used as a vegetable garden, surrounded by a sturdy stone wall. The path connects with B-182A (circular tourist trail) where you can visit the Nuragic site called Or Murales.
After completing the circular route, you cross the large deer enclosure and continue downhill along the mule track through an ancient forest of holm oaks and junipers, from where you can see beautiful landscapes and views of the Codula di Luna canyon.
After about 3 km you reach "Su Cuile sa Tilimba" and shortly after you arrive at the foot of Mount Tilimba. Continuing along the mule track you reach Baccu Sarachinu where you can continue towards Cala Luna (using the 181 trail which intersects here with the 182, or towards Teletotes.
