The path winds its way through places of great landscape and cultural importance, with numerous panoramic viewpoints throughout the whole region. One such panoramic location is Gurduxionis. A host of plant and animal species are endemic to this area.
Among these, the Sarcidano horse and the Sardinian deer are especially important. Throughout the territory you can observe ancient buildings called Pinnettos or Cuiles characterised by typical dry-stone walls. Near the trail, in the area called Bau Onu, there is an enchanting natural spring, while not very far away you can visit the Byzantine church of Santa Sofia.
Along the route, in Funtanamela which lies within the area managed by the Forestry Authority, there is a special services building set up to accommodate school groups and groups of scholars or enthusiasts of environmental matters.
